(Perhaps it's a good thing that Kurapika has never heard Feitan speak. It would be right on his face who he is speaking to.

[It's the picture that does it. Kurapika is tired of people dying, and if this is his fault? Well. It's an easy choice.

He exits the hotel and ducks into an alleyway. No sense in more people getting involved than necessary. And then he sends the spider his location.]

(The map shows he's not out in the open, which can prove both a blessing and a liability. If this is how he wants to play, Feitan is intrigued.

As the current leader of the Spider, his commands are to stay away from this fight altogether. If the head is destroyed, the spider can still move forward. Feitan himself is not important.

[It shocks him. Of course it does. Blood pours from his wounds and he buckles, nearly falls to his knees. But Kurapika didn't so much as blink when Uvogin shattered all the bones in his arm. And so he straightens his spine, watches this spider with a level gaze; the edges of which is blurring.

Kurapika is a survivor. He will not go down so easily. Without the use of his nen, it's true that he is almost entirely defenseless. A sitting duck in this godless city. But he does have strong leg muscles.]

If you kill me, you'll be able to see your leader again. [His nen will stay lodged in Chrollo Lucilfer's heart until the Spider Head takes his last breath. Kurapika's Judgement Chain is strong enough that it will transcend his death, and his nen so strong that Kurapika will also know the minute the chain is broken. (The Spider's crackle soon comes to an end and he once more allows his sword to become his umbrella. This Chain User is tough, he just lost both arms and here he is, ready to pick a fight with no one other than the Torturer. Good for him.

It will make it even more delicious when he breaks, and that thought alone brings a rush of excitement to Feitan's blood. There's nothing more that he wants than to hear Kurapika beg under his hand, battered and dazed in pain. He almost feels sorry, until he doesn't.

Perhaps he was too distracted in his own fantasy not to dodge the foot, or was he accepting damage on the grounds of getting hurt? The more damage dealt to him, the more power he has if the situation calls for his own Nen ability, after all. So, he allows it, feeling the impact break a tooth and spitting the blood that pools in his mouth.)

[Meaning that Kurapika wasn't going anywhere without a fight. He steadies himself on the ground, chest heaving as he fights to stay conscious. The blurs on the edges of his vision grow stronger, and Kurapika tries to shake them away.

(Ah, Feitan recognizes it. The fight to stay awake, the difficulty that it is to recenter after losing that much blood. His hardened hand slams the back of Kurapika's neck, and when he opens his eyes again, all he will see is a dark lair. Destroyed chairs and ruin paint their hideout, as it usually does, and Machi had done Kurapika quite the favor by sewing what's left of his arms to avoid him from bleeding out.

His feet and legs are chained together, and not very far, the Spider turns a page of his book when he notices the clinking metal alerting him to Kurapika's consciousness.)
