[Ronan's aware that Adam will probably insist on paying and he'll have to figure out how to put the money back in Adam's wallet later but he's equally aware Adam doesn't take care of himself. Bringing food whenever he comes over is the easy way to bypass that.]

No, I'll get it. I assume you want the usual.

[If Ronan picks it up, he can buy whatever food he wants and then claim his eyes are bigger than his stomach after and dump the leftovers on Adam. Gansey's flashy with the way he uses money to solve problems, because Gansey is rich rich. Ronan's rich enough to buy takeout whenever he wants, but not so rich that money literally doesn't matter in the way it does for Gansey.

Ronan doesn't believe that Adam is unaware of what's happening. He just thinks that if they both choose not bring attention to it, then it stays something they don't have to discuss.]

[There's a subtle difference in Gansey getting things for Adam, and Ronan getting things for Adam. Gansey always asks if he can help, if he can spend some of his unending pool of money on Adam. And Ronan just does as he pleases without questioning.

The major difference is Adam just happens to also be kissing Ronan.]
