The Misconceptions Meme
Believe Everything You Hear

So, your reputation precedes you, and maybe that isn’t the best thing. People make their judgments about you before even getting to know you, and you’re sick of it. It’s time to set the record straight once and for all. Or maybe you just want to lay to rest some common misconceptions about your profession, hobbies, lifestyle, etc.. This is the place to do it.
Directions:
1. Post a TL with your character name and canon in the subject line, and use the top level to address a common misconception about your character - or at least what they consider to be a misconception; include preferences in top level of desired
2. Post around on other characters’ top levels, responding to the misconception they address, whether that be disagreeing, calling them out, learning more, or just chatting
3. Have fun, be respectful, etc., etc.!!
Open to all fandom characters, OCs, AUs, CRAUs, etc.. Tagging around is highly encouraged!

The rich are all evil. Didn’t you know?
[He really has no business sounding so sarcastic when he says that considering who’s speaking, but.]

[He scoffs.]
It’s a misconception because someone who knows what they’re talking about says it is. Are we really going to get into the semantics of “opinion”?
Anything anyone says may as well be an opinion. If you disagree, then say so.
But you’d be wrong.

My point isn’t that it can, my point is that there’s nothing wrong with that.

[ Has Finnick been on the receiving end of money being spent to other people's advantage?
More times than he cares to think. ]

[Well, really it’s his father’s money, but that’s neither here nor there.]

I try to choose my words carefully. I know they don’t always come out right.
My intentions are good. I really mean that.
[Should he just say it?]
I find it frustrating when one assumes that having money makes you an inherently bad person. And I don’t think I am one.

What sort of magic? Explain.
no subject
Magic, young man, can do almost anything, as long as a commensurate risk or sacrifice is taken in creating the effect you wish to achieve. Risking everything to achieve the impossible can create a miracle, whether unfathomable wealth, resurrection of the dead, or attaining true love.

“Everything” is quite encompassing, isn’t it?
How does one quantify that exactly? [And then - whether to appease her or be a little shit, it is unclear - he adds:] Please.
