[What’s this now? A pocket-monster-sized version of his good buddy Blue Oak?

[Oh no, he’s so cute. Red comes very close to pinching his cheek, but mid-reach turns it into a friendly wave instead.]

Hah? What do you want, bro--

[Blue's about to brush this older guy off until he sees... That hat. That unmistakable gaze.]

[What the... How the...]

[It's maybe a good thing Red didn't touch him; just seeing him has put Blue into a catatonic, gibbering state.]

Wh-wh-Re-R-Red!!!?

[blueser]

[He looks... thoughtful, for a moment--]

[blueser]

[And then swings his foot right into Red's shin.]

Hah! Serves you right, stuuuupid Red!

[versusseeker]

[What the Helioptile—- Did this little ankle-biter just assault him? Cute no more! Red’s face falls into a small glare, but it’s not so much wrathful as that of an exasperated adult who just realized he is dealing with an entire little Shiftry.

[He calmly reaches over and picks tiny Blue up by his collar. Oh yes. He is big and strong now, and you are small and a twerp.]

Stop.

[blueser]

Gah!!

[Somehow, even Blue didn't expect Red to put hands on him- much less pluck him off the ground like a stray Purrloin. Blue struggles and grabs onto Red's hand on his collar, face flushing entirely Tamato red.] L-Let go!! Alright, you stupid jerk, I get it!!

[What the Shellder... When did Red get so tough!? It's sort of scary (and also sort of cool....)]

[versusseeker]

[Typically Red would not manhandle a child, but he knows this one, and Blue can definitely stand to be jostled around a bit. He sets him back down on the ground, then promptly begins mussing up his hair. Good little Gremlin. Respect your elders.]

[blueser]

[Typical goes entirely out the window when it came to Red and Blue dealing with each other; while Blue could manage to behave himself normally, Red brought out all the worst parts of him.]

[...But maybe some of the best, too- depending on his mood.]

[As for right now, he isn't feeling generous. As soon as he's set back on the ground he scrambles and slaps Red's hands away, groaning in frustration when Red messes up his hair. His precious hair!!] Stop it, you idiot!! When'd you get so big and stupid, anyway!? Not fair!

[Red’s smile is small but fond. Blue has changed a lot, he realizes, since he was this age - and in some ways, not at all. It’s an overwhelmingly fond feeling to see him this way, even as he struggles and snaps. Red gives in though, and pulls away, crossing is arms over his chest and shrugging. He’s not sure what it means that he’s seeing Blue this way now, but he’s not terribly bothered by the possible space-time paradox occurring. Stranger things have probably happened.]
